Twin Cities Dental Center Systems Integration.
Cyrus agreed to design, develop, and deploy a
custom Clinical Information System (CIS) for Twin Cities Dental
Center in its 5 room dental practice. We helped to choose the
right technologies for the practice and integrating them in a
cost affective user-friendly system.

Cyrus conlsultants installed image simulation
tools that allow patients to visualize intended treatments before
committing to any procedure as well as simulate amalgam replacement,
veneering and bonding, crown lengthening, orthodontics, cosmetic
contouring, tooth bleaching, and periodontal treatments. It comes
with 62-image library which allows single tooth, full and half
arch, golden proportion and a wide range of full smiles for quick
and easy try-in.
Dentist uses computer monitor, keyboard and pointing
device.
Assistant uses the same equipment for data entry, xray capture,
video capture.
Patient uses the monitor in co-discovery treatment planning with
the staff and education.
Computers have to be protected from moisture, dust and chemicals
Monitors and keyboards must be available to dentist, assistant
and patient
We installed an LCD monitor on a custom arm in
each room that allows dentist, assistant and patient to use the
monitor. The LCD monitor must have a glass face to protect it
from chemicals and abrasive dust. The keyboard must be wireless
with an internal pointing device so that it can be easily used
by the dentist of assistant. The camera can be moved from room
to room and used in video or digital mode. Patient education can
originate in your computer or a central video system.
The systems provides access to DVD, Video Tape
and Cable TV entertainment! Many studies have shown that these
distractions relax the patient and enhance the overall impression
of the office.

We also installed computer workstations that work
directly with intraoral cameras. Image displayed directly on the
wall-mounted PC screen, not on separate TV monitors.
Ledger and scheduling system integration was
done, which enabled a dentist to access insurance ,billings,scheduling
information right from each room as well as from home using internet.
