Assessment Services.
To analyze your organization's overall
information security posture, the Cyrus Systems security team
uses a structured approach, beginning with an on-site meeting
to define your assessment goals and the information critical to
your company's operations. The team also conducts a physical controls
walk-through and an initial procedures review to examine the systems
used to process, store and transmit critical data.
Once the systems overview is completed,
Cyrus Systems performs a comprehensive information security analysis,
customized to meet your organization's needs and resources.
External Vulnerability Assessment.
Cyrus Systems will conduct a limited scope external
vulnerability assessment of your company's network by examining
those hosts that are readily accessible from the Internet. The
assessment will provide an evaluation of the current security
posture of the network and its susceptibility to attack and compromise
from an outside entity. The intent of the assessment is twofold.
First, problem areas or network security weaknesses are identified.
Evidence of vulnerabilities would indicate the network's exposure
to an increased probability of intrusion or attack. Second, based
on the number and type of vulnerabilities discovered, the Team
will determine if there is a need for a more comprehensive assessment
including security policy and procedures review, a comprehensive
external and internal evaluation, and an assessment of physical
controls procedures that include disaster recovery plans and operations.
Full Vulnerability Assessment.
Cyrus Systems uses the following approach to conduct
security vulnerability assessments
- The Cyrus Systems Assessment team works with
the client to identify the systems and information which are
critical to their organization. This data is used to determine
the appropriate course of action to be taken. The team will
meet the security and privacy need of the client, causing the
least impact on day-to-day operations.
- The Cyrus Systems Assessment team will be selected
from our staff of security experts to compliment the client's
environment. These security experts are trained in the use of
appropriate tools to meet the needs of the client's specific
needs. The tools include a combination of highly sophisticated
commercial security products as well as propraitary tools and
techniques.
- The Cyrus Systems Assessment team conducts
an extensive initial external scan and analyzes the data. Findings
are rank-ordered based on the severity of the vulnerability
and the potential impact if left uncorrected. The team then
conducts the internal assessment where additional scanning will
be performed to evaluate the effectiveness and compliance of
existing security policies and procedures.
- The Cyrus Systems Assessment team will compile
the final report containing the results of all analysis, appropriate
corrective measures, and recommended safeguards. The reports
are provided in a consistent, easy-to-understand format.

assistance with any required corrective action utilizing an
extensive range of services.
